It is said to have derived from Thierry, the nickname for the baptismal name of Theodoric or Tedric. Ancient record show it as Thierry, Thierre, Terri, Tyrry, Terrey. And as you open the pages of this book my only hope is that I am able to lead someone else to their roots in this wonderful family that has its roots in England, a country of lovely green pastures and winding roads.
