About the Author
I was born in Paris, France, and lived there until I was eleven years-old. Even at that young age, I loved to tell stories to my sister which I made up as I went along, to be continued the next day, and so on. My secret dream was to be a writer. Then, World War II broke out. It was June 1940 and everything changed. Now I had real stories to tell. How we left Paris, unknowingly, one day before the occupation. How we kept moving from town to town, always a step ahead of the Germans. Then the realization that we had to leave France, and it didn't matter where we went. I was 15 years-old when I began writing in detail what happened to me and my family and how we were able to get out of France in turbulent times. This is my story-I hope you enjoy reading it.
