About the Author
Anthony J. Ippolito was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. After attending Canisius College in Buffalo, he enlisted in the Army Air Force in 1944 and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant in 1946. Later that year, he enrolled in Lincoln Chiropractic College in Indianapolis, Indiana. After receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Lincoln in 1949, he pursued post-graduate studies in Nutrition and X-ray Interpretation in Radiology at Lincoln before establishing his practice in Buffalo in 1950. After later obtaining licenses to practice chiropractic in Vermont, Kentucky, and Indiana, he relocated his practice to Shelbyville, Indiana in 1959 under the name of Dr. John A. Ramsey. In 1994, after having treated approximately 10,000 patients over 45 years, he retired from active practice. Throughout the 1960s he wrote a weekly column on health topics for The Shelbyville News. In 1988 he authored an article entitled "Biomechanics" for the October-November issue of Indy Sports Magazine. Dr. Ramsey lives in Florida.
