What is this book? It represents the 'journey', in a figurative sense, that he wanted to undertake in order to discover the various ways of understanding this profession; various ways of approaching the profession of production sound mixer, and, therefore, the recording of sound on set. He had the opportunity to interview seven top international sound engineers, chosen by him and ask them twelve questions.
About The Author:
Edgar Lacolenna, born in Rome in 1986, Edgar began his career path with humanistic and musical studies. He has more than ten years of experience in the film and audiovisual industry as a production sound mixer and boom operator, collaborating with several film and television productions in Switzerland and Italy. Edgar has made several recordings of solo concerts, chamber music, choral and symphonic music, solo and ensemble of jazz music, as well as theatre shows, editing the audio post-production as well. Since 2014, Edgar Iacolenna has been sound instructor in the course of Audio-Visual Reportage led by Daniele Segre at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (National Film School) in L'Aquila (Abruzzo). He has been living in Switzerland since 2015.
