About the Author
Roberta Sejnost, Ed.D., received her Master of Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Loyola University, Chicago. She currently is a university professor and literacy consultant who has taught secondary level courses in social studies, reading, and English, and college level courses in literacy, authentic assessment, brain-based learning, multiple intelligences, and cooperative learning. A nationally recognized staff developer and certified trainer, Roberta has presented at over 200 educational conferences across the country. In 2003, Roberta was given the Reading Educator of the Year award by the Illinois Reading Council.
Sharon Thiese is a high school instructor. She is recognized in Who′s Who of American Educators and was named high school educator of the year. Sharon has been the faculty advisor for the student literary magazine and for the National Honor Society. Certified in gifted education, she is the facilitator for the Acceleration and Enrichment Program at the high school where she teaches. Sharon has also taught graduate level classes for St. Xavier′s University, facilitated workshops, and presented at educational conferences across the country.
