About the Author
Trudy Rodkin Tobias has a Masters in Social Work from Loyola University in Chicago and over forty years experience as a licensed clinical social worker in a variety of settings. In addition, she is certified by Christian Mickelson's Success Coaching Academy(R) as a Rapid Results Coach, and is also a certified Radical Forgiveness(R) Practitioner by Colin Tipping. Trudy has received additional training in other coaching modalities, including Dream Building(R) and Life Mastery(R) by Mary Morrissey. Because Trudy has experienced a lot of life changes including losing an infant at age 38, becoming a mom through adoption at age 40, moving to the Southeast from the Midwest at age 57, leaving a long-term marriage in her early 60's, and changing career directions to a self-empowerment coach and author in her late 60's, Trudy knows personally that it is not only possible to Reinvent Yourself at Any Age, but also how to grow and thrive in the process! Consequently, she is now on a mission to help other women do the same. To that end Trudy founded her TruEST* Life Coaching business, designed to help women conquer challenging life changes and learn how to craft a celebratory next chapter. She also wrote this book, Reinventing Yourself at Any Age: A Practical and Spiritual Instruction (Wo)Manual to help even more women do the same. Trudy grew up and spent most of her adult life in the northern suburbs of Chicago. She listened to her soul and moved to Greensboro, NC, in 2006, at the age of 57, where she lives with her loving Labrador/Border Collie mix, Odin, and her character of a cat, Binx, in a house full of bright colors that everyone who enters says is a "Trudy-house." She is now the proud grandmother of three grandsons, and through her son-in-law, one granddaughter and great granddaughter. Although Trudy believes she is much too young to be so old as to have grandchildren, she now fully understands the plaque that used to hang in her mother's den, "If I had known being a grandmother was so much fun, I would have done it first!" She loves to get to California to visit her family there as well as her family in Chicago as much as possible. *True Essential Self Transformed
