New and Improved Safe 6

"Safe 6" was originally conceived eight years ago. It went through many changes before I settled on the 6 Safely Working Skills officially published in 2014: Recognize - Prepare - Inspect - Control - Operate - Guard.
Those descriptors have worked well over the years. However, the label "Operate" has always been a little awkward. I have replaced "Operate" with "Engage." While the original Safe 6 is found throughout this edition of the book the newly revised and expanded 2nd edition of "Safely Working from the Ground Up" incorporates this long overdue change.
In the meantime, here is the revised Safe 6:
