About the Author
Serenity Barlow spent her early years in foster care. She was adopted out of the "system" and has struggled like many adopted children trying to discover herself and find her place in the world. Serenity found a part of herself in giving back to kids like her. She is a foster mother and has adopted children. Serenity spent time as an ambassador for the foster care program and currently works as a Peer Parent, teaching at risk parents how to better care for their children so they can remain in the home.
