About the Author
Hubbell, Frank: - Frank Hubbell worked as a ski patrol director, rescue squad captain, and on the mountain rescue service before graduating from medical school. He is the past president of the American Alpine Club medical committee and past vice president of the European UIAA (International Union of Alpine Associations) Medical Commission. Dr. Hubbell currently serves as the medical director for NH Region V EMS Council and is a 28-year representative on the NH EMS Medical Control Board and NH EMS Coordinating Board. He is a founding partner of the Saco River Medical Group in Conway and Glen, New Hampshire, and is the Director of the Conway Walk-In-Care and Spine Center. Dr Hubbell along with his wife, Lee Frizzell, founded Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities (SOLO) in 1976. The school teaches wilderness and emergency medicine and the home campus is in Conway New Hampshire. This book is one of many Dr. Hubbell has written for use in SOLO courses.
