About the Author
The author was a very young pilot who went to Canada to join the RCAF before WWII. Transfering to the US Army Air Corp at age 19 as a 2nd Lt. He soon formed his crew and went to combat in their B-17 named "Stardust". Returning from combat he instructed in B-17's and B-29's. After the war he became an airline pilot for the next 37 years.
