About the Author
Dr. Amr Abdelrahman is Chairman of the Structural Engineering Department (2014-2020) and Professor of Concrete Structures (since 2006), Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He is Member in the following Egyptian Codes: Design and Construction of Concrete Structures, Design and application of Fiber Reinforced Polymers in Construction (Vice Chair), and Planning, Design, and Construction of Bridges and Highways. He is also the General Secretary of the Egyptian Society of Civil Engineers.
Dr. Abdelrahman has several technical publications and has supervised more than 70 graduate students. He is also Consultant Engineer, who participated in the design of several projects in the Middle East and Canada. He has more than 35 years of experience working in the field of design of non-prestressed and prestressed concrete structures and strengthening of concrete structures.
