About the Author
Jim and Claire Herbert live in Santa Cruz, CA. Jim is a retired auto collision repair shop owner who now enjoys using his skills of working with metal, combined with his love for the ocean and surfing, to create sculptures that blend those passions. Claire has been teaching language arts to middle school students for over 30 years. She wanted to write a book that would not only bring Jim's sculptures to life, but also to encourage reading aloud to children.
