About the Author
Janet Hagen began her career as a speech therapist in K-12 schools in the Chicago area. She earned master's degrees in counseling and administration & supervision, and a doctorate in instructional leadership as a way of legitimizing her railing against traditional schooling structures as discussed in her autobiographical book, Teaching Teachers: Reflections on an Adventure in Mutual Learning. Since retiring from her fulltime adventure, Janet continues to teach as an associate faculty member for Northern Arizona University and Mohave Community College. Two cats, Hub and Router, and Elliot, a Chihuahua, are living with the author for remedial education.
