About the Author
Katie Newman became a canine diet expert to save her Labrador, Hustler, from obesity. Unable to exercise because of severe hereditary joint issues, his weight had ballooned to 96 pounds. An accomplished analyst and researcher, Katie made a life changing decision - to use her skills to create a nutritionally balanced diet that would satisfy her dog's appetite and shed pounds. After extensive research, she formulated a unique and effective diet that provides not only healthy meals but also those essential treats dogs love. Katie earned bachelor's degrees in English literature and education from Long Island University, graduating summa cum laude. She has nearly a decade of experience working in customer relations and system functions analysis at Cablevision. She also worked as a research assistant with The Conference Board, a non-advocacy, not-for-profit global business research and membership organization. She lives with her husband, son and their dog Hustler in Vero Beach, FL.
