She is the author of Liberalism at its Limits: Crime and Terror in the Latin American Cultural Text, Transatlantic Topographies: Island, Highlands, Jungle and Women, Guerrillas, and Love: Understanding War in Central America.Szurmuk, Mónica: - Mónica Szurmuk is Professor of Literature at the University of Buenos Aires. She is the author of Women in Argentina: Early Travel Narratives. She has also edited, with Robert McGee Irwin, the Dictionary of Latin American Cultural Studies. She is currently writing an intellectual biography of Alberto Gerchunoff.
