About the Author
Lisa Dahmus earned a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Texas, Austin, and then worked as a team building facilitator for Dow Chemical. This was followed by an MBA from the University of Michigan and two years in Management PhD programs, where she studied Organizational Behavior. While in graduate school, the author taught Management and Organizational Behavior to undergraduates and pursued research on organizational learning and change, team effectiveness, and nonprofit board development. After graduate school, she joined DuPont, where she was certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt and is a Change Management Consultant providing organizational effectiveness training and consulting to corporate teams. Throughout her career and studies, the author has worked with nonprofit boards designing and delivering training to fit their unique needs and based on these experiences has further developed her processes by which boards can increase their effectiveness.
