The Fatima of the Mussolini's Republic: May 1944: the apparitions of Ghiaie di Bonate, between political speculation and historical reality

On the afternoon of May 13, 1944, just in the XXVII anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima, the Holy Family appeared to a local girl, such Adelaide Roncalli, 7 years old. It was the beginning of a series of exceptional events, divided into two cycles of appari-tions: the first from 13 to 21 May and the second from 28 to 31 May, for a total of thirteen phenomena in which the small family presen-ted the Holy Family or the Blessed Vergine Maria, once accompa-nied by two Saints, others by angels.
