The Halloween Academy is a young adult dark academia and urban fantasy novel about identity, belonging, and the hidden world that exists alongside our own.

On the night of his eighteenth birthday, Dorian Crowe is murdered—and wakes up a vampire.

With no memory of who turned him and no understanding of the supernatural world he has suddenly entered, Dorian receives an invitation to Tenebris Collegium, a secret academy where vampires, witches, werewolves, spirits, fae, and other supernatural beings learn to live among humanity without revealing their existence.

As the first vampire ever admitted to the academy, Dorian quickly discovers that many students and faculty view him as a threat. While struggling to control his new abilities, he becomes entangled in ancient rivalries, political schemes, and growing tensions between the supernatural community and those who hunt them.

Within the shadowed halls of the academy, among forbidden knowledge, hidden histories, and secrets buried beneath centuries of tradition, Dorian forms unlikely friendships with a diverse group of students carrying burdens of their own. Together, they must navigate a world where trust is fragile and every answer uncovers new dangers.

When attacks on the academy reveal a larger conspiracy, Dorian finds himself at the center of a conflict that could expose the hidden world and endanger everyone he has come to care about. To survive, he must learn who he is, what kind of monster he wants to become, and whether he can forge a place for himself in a world determined to define him by his nature rather than his choices.

The Halloween Academy is the first installment in a supernatural fantasy series blending dark academia, mystery, adventure, friendship, and coming-of-age themes within a modern magical school setting.

About The Author:

Tom has spent a lifetime telling stories—through novels, screenplays, film, art, and tabletop adventures.

He is the author of the *Halloween Academy* series, beginning with *Halloween Academy", an urban fantasy and dark academia novel introducing readers to Tenebris Collegium, where monsters attend school, ancient secrets refuse to stay buried, and even the newest student may reshape the hidden world. He is currently writing Book Two and Book Three of the series.

Beyond novels, Tom is a screenwriter whose feature screenplay *Polybius*, inspired by the legendary arcade mystery, is currently being shopped for production. He is also producing a documentary on the life of the musician The Jazz Butcher.

A lifelong gamer, Tom grew up during the golden age of arcades and still has a deep appreciation for classic games. That same imagination naturally led him to tabletop role-playing games, where he has spent decades as both player and Game Master. Whether it's *Dungeons & Dragons*, *Daggerheart*, or creating entirely new worlds, collaborative storytelling remains one of his greatest passions.

His artwork has been published in more than seven tabletop role-playing game supplements, combining his love of illustration with fantasy worldbuilding. When he isn't writing fiction, he co-owns Splash Social Marketing, a creative agency that has helped businesses tell their own stories for more than sixteen years.

Tom has also appeared in several films, bringing characters to life both behind the keyboard and in front of the camera.

He lives in Florida with his wife of more than thirty years. Together they have raised two incredible children while navigating the challenges of complex medical conditions that have reshaped much of their family's journey. Through it all, storytelling has remained both an escape and a reminder that hope can often be found in the darkest places.
