If you've ever wondered about starting a meditation practice, this book is for you Basic questions about starting a "natural" meditation practice (see Heartfulness and Sahaj Marg) are covered, along with deeper philosophical topics about the journey of the soul. THE JOURNEY WITHIN . . . presents candid interviews with people engaged in meditation, some with decades of experience and others who are newcomers to spiritual practice. Author Kim Hughes, herself a relative newcomer to meditation, asks in this book the kinds of insightful questions that get to the heart of what we all want to know about meditation. How does it work? What does it feel like? What has it done for you? How difficult is it? What can it do for me? Each interview is unique as we read about starting a meditation practice, working with a guru, making lifestyle changes, and using the power and hope of meditation to help heal our planet. Heartfulness meditation is spreading rapidly around the globe, with many advocating its positive benefits. Learn more through these interviews and, in the process, move beyond materialism and the daily "drama of life" toward improved health, balance, and harmony through meditation.

She holds a Ph.D. in Language Education and is a respected international professor, consultant and speaker.
