Aleph Worf-Sapir, nearly fifteen and uninterested in school, has been offered the chance of a lifetime: an opportunity to study on the different moons of the Lunar University After decades of infighting, the other Departments have opened their doors.

She has been bitten by a shark, she watched the final shuttle launch from the fire escape outside Launch Control, and she has been a certified diver since age twelve.
