About the Author
Ganapathy, Soumya: - Soumya Ganapathy grew up in Northern New Jersey and since then has lived in many cities in the US. She started writing over ten years ago as a means of creative expression. Soumya has a medical degree and did her residency in emergency medicine. While working as an emergency physician she developed a love of the creative arts and studied writing, film and dance. She initially started writing as a way to relax after stressful shifts in the emergency department. Later, Soumya started writing children's stories to share with her nephews, niece and children of family friends. She is also interested in integrative and preventative medicine. She is currently board certified in emergency medicine and integrative medicine. Her other interests include dance, film, travel and environmental restoration. She currently lives with her family outside of Boston.
