About the Author
Mark has been writing since he was five and has been published in Cricket, Cobblestone Press, Learning, Newsday and other periodicals and anthologies. His books include the Rockhound Science Mystery Series, winner of a Teacher's Choice Award (Learning Magazine, 2001) and The Midnight Diet Club, (formerly You Never See Fat Vampires), about a young girl who risks it all to stop bullies, which won 1st Prize for Fiction (YA, Published) in the Florida Writer's Association Royal Palm Literary Awards in 2011. Always eager to learn and help other authors, he is a member of the Author's Guild, SCBWI, the Florida Writer's Association, and the founder and leader of three active writing groups in Central Florida. Long interested in book marketing, he co-created and hosts Author's Beat, broadcast world-wide at www.blogtalkradio.com/authorsbeat and has now created the How To Sell Your Books Checklist which he hopes will help writers everywhere tame the marketing monster.
