The Provenance of Paradise on Earth is the fourth installment of the adventures of Mitch Tanner and Rebecca Fairbanks. As they head to Washington D.C. to begin the next chapter of their lives, both Mitch and Rebecca have a lot of adjustments to make. It isn't easy for Rebecca to accept being the little fish in the big pond of Washington politics, and Mitch is feeling like a fish out of water herself as the lesbian partner of the Senator. The importance of these items is realized by Trish and Robbie after several burglary attempts. As things heat up, all parties involved get pulled into the intrigue of politics and stolen art work.
