Doctor Anderson has coached high school, collegiate and elite distance runners since 1986. He has a bachelors degree in Health Science; a bachelors degree in Physical Education; a masters degree in Sport Psychology and both a masters degree and doctorate in Sport Sociology. This formal education, combined with reading the academic literature on running for 25 years, has helped him masterfully synthesize research on the physical, psychological and social aspects of distance running.
