Four years ago, I survived ARDS {sadly, most do not} My life was forever changed by the four month hospital stay and I live with the results of a shattered life. Glad to be alive, I have recieved a gift. That does not overshadow the many struggles. Recovery is just the beginning. How to cope was a big life change and where to find solice and comfort, my doctor suggested that I write a book. It took a long time to do that as you will learn in the my story. I was the nurse and now I am the patient.

About the Author
It has been my priviledge to practice Nursing since 1993. Each new position offered a new opportunity and I loved the mystery and learning from my patients. My girlfriends are extremely special to me, like sisters I have never had. I am known as the social butterfly and off we go on all kinds of adventures. I enjoy all the "girlfriend" type of get-to-gethers or outings. My 3 children have blessed me with 7 grandchildren. They range in ages from 3 - 12. We are expecting one more grandbaby in Feb. 2013. I have resided in Oregon for almost 35 years; so does the qualify as "nearly native"? My husband and I call Corvallis home.
