Born in the mountains of Kentucky, Homer Williams enjoyed the first nine years of his life in simple, but satisfying, surroundings on a farm. He experienced many adventures during these early years and shares them with vivid recall, including the story of the first toy he ever received and his education at a one-room schoolhouse. At the age of nine, he and his family moved to West Virginia and encountered a wealth of modern conveniences.

A sense of kinship was instilled in him early by his mother, so family has always been important to him. His great-grandfathers were both active in the Civil War. One fought for the North; the other fought for the South. Williams was born the tenth of eleven children.

Williams shares insightful accounts of turning points in his life and the lessons he's learned throughout the years. He's lived a fulfilled life, sprinkled with a host of valuable experiences, a tour with the United States Air force, thirty eight years in education of which twenty two were high school principal. Williams imparts a lifetime of stories and memories for all to enjoy in The Story of My Life.
