About the Author
Annette Cass-Landis was born and grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y. She studied Fashion Design and Illustration in Parsons School of Design and Pratt Institute, as well as fine art in the School for Art Studies in New York City. In 1969 she opened a working-teaching studio in Mount Vern on, N.Y.. There she taught a number of students; her own paintings were shown in this country and Europe. Years later she changed direction and worked in the legal field for a number of law firms. Then at age 48, Annette entered Ramapo College of New Jersey, graduating 4 years later, summa cum laude. with a B.A. Degree in American and International Studies. She then entered Antioch Law School in Washington, D.C. and took courses leading to a Masters Degree in Legal Studies. In 1983 Annette entered CUNY Law School in New York, graduating with a Juris Doctor Law Degree in 1986. She taught Constitutional Law in the Department of American and International Studies at Ramapo College in New Jersey until retirement. Annette has trained in several disciplines: She taught English as a Second Language to newly arrived Russian Immigrants and earned a Certificate in Dispute Resolution for her work as a volunteer mediator, resolving conflicts within families as well as disputes in neighborhoods. Presently her activities include singing in her Temple Beth Tikvah choir, mentoring college Students at William Paterson University in New Jersey, painting and spoiling nere cat Rover.
