About the Author
Michel Tinguiri (Ph.D.) is a native from Burkina Faso. He is currently living and teaching French Language and Culture as well as cultural anthropology in the USA. His dissertation examines "Social Capital in Post-Displacement Reconstruction in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso". Michel also received his Master's in Translation studies and his Bachelor's in African Literature from the University of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) as well as his Master's in Linguistics from Syracuse University (New York). He also acts as a consultant in development and in translation & interpretation (French-English) for local and international organizations. Michel's interests include power, identity and ethnicity, gender, African literature, African politics, African traditions and modernity, urbanization, international migration and forced eviction. His recent research projects include the experience of African migrant teachers in US schools.
