There once was a possum who came to our house in a bucket, wet and injured. He scared us at first-he was a wild animal, after all-but by the time he was grown up, he had the run of our house. This is a children's book in rhyme, illustrated with drawings of the real live possum named Tank who especially liked spending the day snuggled in the pillows of our bed.

About the Author
Charlotte Terhune is a lifelong lover of all furry things. She has worked as a semi-serious graphic artist since 1984, and has won several awards for her watercolor paintings. She was born and raised in the Midwest has lived in the Pacific Northwest with her husband since 1973.They have two grown sons. Over the years they have had between them more than two dozen dogs and cats, a couple of birds, a lizard, a ferret, a frog or two, assorted fish, and other water animals, and the best-mannered of them all, a possum named Tank.
