He obtained his education at Knox College and Johns Hopkins University, developing a diverse spiritual outlook blending Buddhism, pantheism, spiritualism, transcendentalism, Christian socialism, and neo-Vedanta philosophy. Trine is best known for his influential book, "In Tune with the Infinite," which became a cornerstone of the New Thought movement. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Trine's writings focused on spiritual principles rather than financial success, earning him a reputation as an optimistic and sincere author.
