Three Polish-American Catholic Parishes

This book is reformatted "Research" that was completed November 1981. It is a study of the actual cultural role of three Michigan Polish Juridical National Parishes at their formation, during a time of crises between the forces of Americanization and cultural pluralism, and the present: St. Albertus in Detroit, St. Mary of Czestochowa in rural Dwight Township, and All Saints in Flint. Today, these three Juridical National Parishes remain vital. American born parishioners of Polish descent still live amid some of the same conflicts between Americanization forces and cultural pluralism. About the Author
Jean Marie grew up in the loving embrace of a large extended family of Polish origins. Family life revolved around All Saints Catholic Church in Flint, Michigan. Jean Marie was Valedictorian of the last graduating class of All Saints High School in Flint. Jean Marie graduated with honors in the First graduating class of the University of Michigan - Flint Branch for her Bachelors Degree in Science. She was awarded her first Masters Degree in American Culture Studies from the University of Michigan in 1982. Jean Marie was awarded her second Masters Degree in 1992 from California State University, Stanislaus. Jean Marie is married to Ronald Miscisin for more than fifty years, the Mother of ten adult children and grandmother to twelve grandchildren. In December 2007, Jean Marie retired from teaching for the third time and is determined to share her Faith, knowledge, experiences, and ideas through her writing and art.
