Tibet Brief 20/20 is a wakeup call that establishes a link between China's current expansionism and the international community's misguided appeasement on Tibet. Next the book demonstrates that both Tibet's occupation and Beijing's suppression of the Tibetans' right to self-determination are serious violations of international law, and that all states have an obligation to help end the seven-decade Sino-Tibetan conflict.

Van Walt Van Praag, Michael: - Michael van Walt van Praag practices and teaches International Law and International Relations and specializes in intrastate conflicts. He is a scholar of Tibetan and Inner Asian History. Miek Boltjes is a mediator and conflict resolution specialist who has worked extensively on intrastate conflicts. Both authors mediate in peace processes worldwide and have an intimate knowledge of the Sino-Tibetan conflict.
