The purpose of my book is to show children who stutter that they are not alone and that there is a way to over-come their anxiety of talking. I dealt with stuttering since I was two years old and went through speech therapy until I was in the eighth grade. Sadly, I encountered people who were either lacking in knowledge and/or patience. So I taught myself ways to over-come my anxiety of talking, as they appear in my book. In addition to stuttering, I also had a learning disability. Children with learning disabilities are not incapable of learning. They just need different learning tactics.

About the Author
Godfrey, Rachel Suzanne: - I was born with brain damage due to an undetected, underdeveloped thyroid gland that was not not discovered until I was five months old. Only, I did not learn about this until my father told me of an article that my mother wrote about me, titled, 'New Strength Found in Mother Through Handicapped Child. This article changed my whole life. I felt a responsibility to share my story so others could benefit from my obstacles, so I did so in this book. My brain damage included delayed intellect, slow motor skills, delayed reflexes, hearing and speech deficits. Please understand, I don't claim to cure stuttering as I do not have credentials in speech/language pathology. I simply explain that I have a stutter and how I over-came my anxiety of talking.
