About the Author
Jacalyn Marosi (most commonly known as "Jacs") has a contagious passion for the Deaf-World. She began teaching ASL in 2005 and quickly realized that her career was destined for higher education. Jacs loves educating people about the Deaf-World nearly as much as she loves the Deaf community, their culture and their language, American Sign Language. She is hearing but respects the Deaf community immensely and was deemed as "Deaf at heart" by a culturally Deaf colleague who serves as a consistent source of encouragement. In 2013 she established an Associate Degree program in ASL Studies at North Idaho College (NIC). Her work as an educator gained notoriety as her students transferred from NIC to Universities. As a hobby, Jacs enjoys graphic design and began creating charts, documents, and even workbooks to aid in student's academic process. By combining passion, work, and hobby, she unintentionally created a demand for her first published workbook commonly referred to as the "ASL Vocab Book". She often expresses her thankfulness for being able to do what she loves as a career.
