War Stories: A Daring Young Air Force Pilot's True Adventures in World War II

War Stories is a true, gripping, first-hand account of a United States Air Force pilot's adventures during World War II, and especially details the pilot's harrowing experiences as a prisoner-of-war in Germany. Bob Bostick, the book's celebrated author, was indeed a pilot in the Air Force at the age of 21, and went on to win great victories for the allies. Told in cinematic vignettes, this war diary is a taut, concise look at what really went on in a prisoner-of-war camp, and the ups and downs of every day life in the Stalag, near escapes, miracles, as well as what happened when the Russians liberated his camp and how he pedalled by bicycle out of Germany to end up, safe at last, in Paris, France. This book is a highly recommended to teachers and students of history, for all ages.

About the Author
Bob Bostick, author, father, grandfather and recently retired Superior Court Judge in California, lives in Northern California with his wife, Sue. He attended the University of California at Berkeley (where he majored in history) and Hastings Law School. Before going to war, he received an MGM contract from an agent who saw him in one of his college's plays. The war intervened, and instead of going to Hollywood, he went off to learn how to fly a plane and to serve his country. When he returned home from the war, he decided to finish college and then go to law school. He then served his community by becoming a judge in Alameda County, California. This is his first memoir.
