About the Author
BEN STEIN, a graduate of Yale Law School, worked as a trial lawyer and a poverty lawyer. He taught about the political and social content of mass culture and law and economics at American University; the University of California, Santa Cruz; and Pepperdine University. He was a speech writer for Presidents Nixon and Ford, a columnist for the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, a bestselling author several times over, a teacher of finance, a screenwriter, a novelist, and has also enjoyed a career as an actor, most notably for his role as the droning teacher in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, recently ranked one of the fifty most famous scenes in American film. In short, Ben Stein is a man who has lived, and one would do well to heed his advice.
