About the Author
About the Author Lieutenant Colonel Eric Hollister retired from the U.S. Army in 2013 after 21 years of service. He was commissioned as an Air Defense Artillery Officer in 1991, and served with the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Polk Louisiana, the 1st Infantry Division in Germany, and the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii. His deployments included duty in Haiti, Bosnia, and a 15-month tour in Iraq. His final assignment was as a curriculum developer and instructor at the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He is currently the Senior Military Instructor for the Leavenworth High School JROTC program. LTC Hollister has a BA in Music from UCLA, and an MA in Humanities from California State University, Dominguez Hills. His publications include Ike Warned Us About This: The MICC's Stranglehold on Responsible Acquisition (published in Joint Forces Quarterly); A Shot in the Dark: The Futility of Long-Range Modernization Planning and The Professional Military Ethic and Political Dissent: Has the Line Moved?
