The Bible is full of prominent and prudent women of faith, virtue, courage, and character, women of outer and inner beauty. So, when it came time for me to choose just one about whom to write, I was like a kid in a candy store. Yet after much prayer and meditation the choice was crystal-clear: Mary Magdalene. No woman in scripture has endured as much verbal victimization and controversial chatter as Mary Magdalene. Her character has been assassinated and attacked, mislabeled, and misunderstood throughout the years by both Christians and critics alike. Some of this misunderstanding is out of ignorance of the Holy Scriptures and some out of irreverence for the Holy Scriptures. All of this misunderstanding led me on a search to find out exactly who this Mary was and who she wasn't. The birth of this book comes from an intense Biblical investigation into the life of Mary Magdalene from the pages of scripture. What I discovered not only confronted and convicted me, it also challenged and changed me. Hopefully, the results of your reading will be somewhat similar.
