Words

The author, Rick VanderHorst, believes that the spoken word is heard. The written word is felt. They say that there is nothing better than curling up in bed with a good book. That is why I wrote, "Words". So that I can snuggle up with Jen through my writings even if I'm not there. Maybe I'm on the nightstand but still next to her every night planting my feelings in her heart to be read over and over again.

The second oldest of seven children, Rick graduated from The Ohio State University in 1975 and embarked on a highly successful entrepreneurial career in retail, insurance and technology over the next 44 years.As Trustee of the VanderHorst Family Foundation, he guides philanthropic endeavors around the world. His parents have had an immeasurable impact on him and his brothers and sisters. Rick has three wonderful children Liz, Nicole and James as well as his grandchildren JJ and Jaxson. In 2019 Rick married his lovely wife Jennifer, and they reside on the coast of Wales in the United Kingdom
