Many Years, Many Worlds simultaneously explores the loss of a parent and the intricacies of a tumultuous mother/daughter relationship while the author discovers her parent's lives in the Middle East in 1949. It is both a tender and provocative book, invoking an emotional response, as it probes the way we look at world politics and human nature. While cleaning out her mother's shed, the day before her mother's funeral, Beth found letters and photographs that give deeper insite into the world as it was in 1949. Many Years, Many Worlds is a touching and engrossing true story that follows Beth's discovery of her mother's letters and through them sees a side of her mother she never knew. Many Years Many Worlds is a testament to the resiliency of human nature and a reminder to gather the oral history of our elders before it disappears. It shows how the people we can see in hindsight are heroes were just leading their lives, or, as Beth's father put it, "Taking a plane from point A to point B." Take a while and lose yourself in the wonderfully rich world of 1949 and Operation Magic Carpet.

About the Author
Beth Heather Macy was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and lived with her mother and sister, until she left home to live in her car during her senior year of high school. She later moved in with her father, to live with him and his family, while she attended college. This allowed her to see the other side of a family history that was rich in culture and hidden, often conflicting stories. Beth comes from a family of artists from many generations and expresses her creativity through painting landscapes, creating stained glass pieces, writing poetry, even producing YouTube videos for local musicians and, now, this book. Her artwork is owned globally and she has been represented by a number of galleries. Beth received her BS in Mathematics from Bridgewater State College, Bridgewater, MA, and her Masters in Psychology and Counseling from Cambridge College. Beth has seen many aspects of human nature during her stints as a schoolteacher, a LT in the U.S. Navy, an artist, a high tech CTO, and an ACE certified Personal Trainer. Beth is a student of human behavior and a Licensed Mental Health Therapist. She specializes in the neurology of the brain and trauma work. In Many Years, Many Worlds she shares her very personal journey of grief processing and internal growth while exposing the very human side of Operation Magic Carpet, a Secret mission that her parents were involved in during the 1940s.
