His pre-writing career consisted of fifteen years of data and analytics experience, seven years in web development and significant exposure to the music industry. He loves travel, holds dual citizenship (NZ/UK), a Bachelor of Arts and an MBA. He currently resides in the UNESCO City of Literature-Edinburgh-with his long term partner.
