In this book, the philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy examines the nature of catastrophes in the era of globalization and technology. Can a catastrophe be an isolated occurrence? Jean-Luc Nancy is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the Université Marc Bloch, Strasbourg.
