About the Author
The author lives with her husband and daughter in California. She began writing poetry for children for her first child, Steven. She illustrated individual picture books for her special needs daughter, Laura. When Barbra's grandson was three her favorite magazines were National Geographic, Nature, and Smithsonian. He liked the pictures and her stories. Poems were short versions of the stories.
