Klosowski, Carla: - Carla Klosowski has worked as a professional artist for over 25 years, and her work has been commissioned worldwide. As a child, she would create her own stories with art and has maintained an interest for children's book writing, and illustrating to make the stories come to life. Carla has extensive training in art history and works in multimedia in her studio. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).Hammond, Alma: - Alma Hammond came up with the idea for this book while staying at a luxury hotel on Rue Cambon in Paris, France. There, an aloof Chartreux cat named Heliot, much like Andre, resides. In André the Five-Star Cat; she imagines what life would be like for Heliot if he no longer had such cozy surroundings. Alma lives with her husband Bob, dog Stazi, and two cats Violet and Daisy in Bethesda, Maryland. She is the author of the acclaimed children's book Super Rooster and Wonder Cat.
