Andy Beane & the Tiger's Tale

This story continues the adventures of Andy Beane, a six-year-old boy who happens to have Down syndrome. Having brought sunlight back to the land of Catonia by his bravery, Andy is now the king. He is special to the Catkins, cats who inhabit this magic land, walk upright, and speak. With help from his sister, Kara, and Lily, a tiny iridescent dragon, and other magical creatures, Andy is learning how a good king rules, and life in Catonia is peaceful and happy. Without warning, the peace is shattered. A badly wounded Bengal tiger is found in Catonia and brought to the castle. When the tiger recovers enough to speak, his tale is tragic and requires the friendship and courage of Andy and the Catkins if lives are to be saved. Racing against the clock, Andy and the other rescuers risk a trip back to the outer world to save the tiger's mate and cub. Along the way, danger stalks them, and the life of one of the rescuers is forever changed. This book is a sequel to Judy Delmain's first book, Andy Beane and the Catkins' Tale. These books are the first ones to feature a child with special needs as a hero.
