About the Author
Peter Ashley is a practising lawyer, writer and sometimes internet television presenter on www.fiveeyes.tv. His parents left Jamaica to live in London and he was a regular as an mc on reggae sound systems and on the radio when a youth, growing up in Peckham and Brockley in South East London. That mix of Jamaican and British working class influences is evident in the writing style and the language of the characters. Angry People Smiling, which was a runner up in the prestigious Saga Prize, is his debut novel, available in paperback as an e-book in all popular formats and shortly to be available as an audio-book. His book of short stories, "Who is the Music Man" will also be available shortly as a paperback, an audiobook and as an e-book in al popular formats.
