About the Author
I was born in Birmingham AL and raised in Chicago. I've been cooking for as long as I can remember. I first started cooking when I was 5. It was only breakfast, but I could do it. I started watching cooking shows when I was 11 such as The Galloping Gourmet and Cooking with Juila Childs. So I've been a PBS fan for a long time. I've worked in a German, Italian, fast food and steakhouse restaurants. I cooked on Sundays when I was in college. However, when I started working for the school system, I was hooked on teaching kids how to cook. I created and hosted a kid's cooking show at the k-5 school my sons attended. The show lasted for about 9 years. I found that if you make it easy for them to learn how to prepare something they like, they can do it. Nearly all of the recipes in this book need no cooking. However, adult supervision is very important. Not only will you be able to spend time with your children, you can also watch them learn a life skill.
