Timothy J. Henderson is a Professor of History at Auburn University Montgomery. He is the author or editor of several books on Mexican history, including The Mexican Wars for Independence (2009), A Glorious Defeat: Mexico and its War with the United States (2007), The Mexico Reader: History, Culture, Politics (2002, co-edited with Gilbert M.
