About the Author
Michael Casey taught undergraduate philosophy for twenty-seven years at a community college in Oregon. Before that he was in the Jesuit religious order for seventeen years, four as a priest. He has had many jobs: painted railroad bridges for two years, worked as a pot man at a Kaiser Aluminum Reduction plant, a life guard, drove a garbage truck, worked the green chain at various lumber mills in the Northwest. He is divorced, straight, and has two grown children and five grandchildren. Michael lives in Portland, Oregon. He is retired from teaching philosophy at Mount Hood Community College for over 25 years. He published his first book, Where I Came From, in 2012.
