About the Author
Ostrander, Lacie: - Hi readers, my name is Lacie Ostrander. I am a 14-year-old artist out in Harrisburg, North Carolina. I was 3 1/2 years old when I was diagnosed with Autism, just like Bowie. Despite many challenges in my life, I have learned that we all must live life to the fullest and not judge people if they are different than others. What Autism means to me is that it's not seen as a disability, but to show that I am unique in ways that I cannot describe. Autism is my way to show that I am unique. Besides making art I love to dance, play volleyball, eat spicy foods, and play with animals. I live with my brother Luke, my mom, and my two cats Teddy and Stella.
